FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Alice Clay Denson Tate Culbertson
Born in Memphis, TN on November 6, 1938; passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home in Honolulu, HI. The eldest child and daughter of James Benjamin and Fannie Clay Denson she was preceded in death by both her parents. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerome Bunker Culbertson. Alice is survived by her three children: Diane Franciosa, Catherine Riseley and son George Tate Jr, (Michelle); her five grandchildren, Dustin and Lewis Tate, Emily Claire Schindler, Paul and Sarah Franciosa; her sister Ginny Morton (Frank) and numerous nephews, great nephews, a niece and great niece. Alice graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1960. She was a resident of Honolulu for over 38 years. Alice was employed with the Corp of Engineers at Fort Shafter, HI. Alice enjoyed travelling with husband, their friends and family visiting all the continents except Antarctica. Her other hobbies included; bridge, mahjong, golf and a nice cool glass of white wine. Her vivacious personality, her infectious smile and her expressive beautiful blue eyes will be terribly missed by those who knew her. Service will be held at Punchbowl, Monday, August 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
