Passed away on July 4, 2018 at Queen's Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he attended Star of the Sea School, graduated from St. Louis High School '65 and attended Univ. of Hawaii-Manoa. At 71, he was a Senior Construction Inspector for SSFM International, retired from the State of Hawaii Dept. of Transportation Highways Division; previously worked for the Harbors Division assigned to the Big Island. Steven loved and cared for his family, friends and coworkers. He enjoyed all the ocean had to offer especially when on the "Cheryl N." He gratefully travelled the islands on hunts; yet "the greens" were great times, too...almost as great as his Las Vegas jaunts! At family gatherings, job site, company or golf tournament cookouts, Steve was The Chef! Born to and raised by parents, the late Harold Hiroshi and the late Setsuko Muramoto, Steven is survived by wife, Judy; sons, Thane and Tyler; siblings, Florence (the late Raymond "Shagg") Tarasawa, Lawrence (Kay) Muramoto and Eloise (Donald) Killgore; uncle, Richard (the late Hiroko) Iwamoto; aunt, Doris (the late Michio) Harada; nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be remembered by the late Nobushige & Masako Nakasone's ohana. He was a member of Jikoen Hongwanji Mission, Yomitan Club and a lifetime member of the St. Louis Alumni Association.
