James “Kimo” Iona Morris
James On August 5, 2018, Kimo's spirit left this earth. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 9, 1935. He served in the U.S. Army for 24 years, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. During his military career, he was a Drill Sergeant for 6 years. He received 5 Bronze Stars and 3 Purple Hearts. After retiring in 1981, he continued to serve his country as a civil servant until full retirement in 1999. Predeceased by his mother Edith and his son George. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Emma (Cookie Medeiros); daughters, Jimet (Brunson) Achiu and Evelyn (Scott) Moeller; 6 grandchildren: Nani (Scott) Colmer, Kalei Achiu, Walter Achiu, James Achiu, Cole Moeller and Brett Moeller; 6 great grandchildren; sister Myra Ervin; brothers: Bruce McShane, Archie Morris and Robert Morris. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. on August 22, 2018 Arlington Mortuary Chapel, Riverside, CA. Graveside Service: 11:45 a.m. at Riverside National Cemetery.
