He was surrounded by close family and friends from his retirement home during his last days. He was first a businessman and entrepreneur with his first wife Myra Bow. After Myra's passing, he sold their business and worked for Schuman Carriage as a salesman for 30 years. He later married Eleanor Chong and they traveled and enjoyed their retirement years together. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His grandsons meant everything to him. He was a kind and generous man, always thinking about his family and friends. He helped so many people with his generosity and thoughtfulness. There is a room at the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge named after Henry and Myra in their honor. In his retirement years, he became an ardent poker player and puzzle master. He is survived by his wife Eleanor C. Au of 42 years, daughter Sandra Au Fong (Marvin), grandson's Nathan Fong (Jeong) and Timothy Fong. Henry was buried with military honors. All services were private.
