RAYMOND "SONNY" AKIONA, SR. 89, of Pearl City, passed away peacefully on August 10th, 2018. Born and raised in Kaimuki. He was an Air Force and Korean War Army veteran with the 5th Regimental Combat Team, and a retired state driver's license examiner. Predeceased by parents, Hiram and Mary, 2 siblings (Rosita and Joseph), daughter Sheila and son Randy. Lovingly remembered by the mother of his children, Lori and sons, Ricky, Rodney and Ray Jr.; his sisters: Molly, Dolores, and Pearl; 11 grandchildren; great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. Visitation: 9:30 a.m.; Services: 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 21st at Borthwick Mortuary. Burial: 2:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha attire.
