87, of Kaneohe, an Air Force veteran, a former fishery biologist in Marquette, Michigan, and a retired Assistant State Parks Administrator, passed away on September 7, 2018 at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by his wife, Janice; son, Galen; daughter, Lisa Kanayama; sisters, Jean Nakamura and Irene (Gerald) Atkins; and by grandson, Elon Kanayama. Visitation is at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. The service begins at 6:00 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
