Kimo Henao Grigsby76, of Honolulu, HI, passed away on October 21, 2018. Born on October 22, 1941, Kimo joined the US Army in his youth and later went on to become a successful entrepreneur. With a charismatic personality and passions for travel and exploration, he also worked as a tour director for several companies such as Grand Circle Travel (AARP Travel Service) and Globus-Cosmos. His charm and ability to leave lasting impressions with anyone he encountered are what paved the way for his marriage to Adriana Grigsby. Kimo is survived by Adriana, along with their son, Nicolas "Nico" Grigsby and beloved K9 daughter, Daisy Grigsby. The Grigsby family will hold a private inurnment ceremony for Kimo in early January at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Kimo's unwavering love and care for others are what will be remembered in the hearts of his friends and family; in return, the Grigsby family asks that positive wishes and messages are sent to him as reminders of the impacts he left with loved ones. Yvonne "Bonnie" (Armitage) Hodgins of Honolulu, born February 11, 1927 in Los Angeles, California passed away on October 8, 2018 in Honolulu. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband J. Stanley Hodgins and is survived by her two children Paul Armitage (Stephanie) of Kona and Lorna "Ana" Char (Ben) of Waimanalo. She is also survived by her two precious grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Yvonne was a life-time resident of Hawaii, graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1945 and worked for Hawaiian Electric before becoming a fulltime wife and mother. She enjoyed exploring every road she could whether it was here on O'ahu or on the Big Island where she lived for many years in the Volcano and Waimea areas; she cherished flora and fauna. A very heartfelt mahalo to the Home Care Solutions Staff at Hawaii Kai Retirement Center, caregiver Wayne Jezek, to the staff of Manoa Senior Care, and to Bristol Hospice Hawaii for their love and devotion to her care. Donations may be made in her name to The Hawaiian Humane Society, Hawaii Public Radio or Honolulu Academy of Arts. Private Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Henry Hideo 93, of Honolulu passed away on September 23, 2018. Henry was born on January 2, 1925 in Honolulu. He was a retired Chief of Land Division for the City and County of Honolulu. Graduate of McKinley High School. Volunteered for the US Army in his senior year of high school and was a veteran of the 442nd Regiment, 100th Battalion. 1950 graduate of the University of Hawaii with a BS in Engineering. Proudly obtained his professional licenses in engineering and surveying. Worked for the City & County of Honolulu, Department of Public Works starting as a Civil Engineer I and eventually became the Chief Control Engineer in the Division of Engineering. Became Chief of the Land Division in 1975 before retiring in 1980. In retirement, Henry was an instructor of surveying and math at Honolulu Community College. Henry enjoyed golfing on weekends, coached his sons in Little League baseball, enjoyed UH baseball and football, and upon retirement took up running and ran the Honolulu Marathon three times as well as running in various other race events in Honolulu. Henry also enjoyed travelling to visit his children and grandchildren on the Mainland. Henry was predeceased by his wife, Hilda T. and his daughter, Janice S. Korff. He is survived by children, Brian T. (Kathleen), Bert H., Ann and son-in-law, Robert (Cathy) Korff. He is also survived by grandchildren -Tyson (Julia), Britton (Eric) Nastro, Kirstin, Benjamin (Megan) Korff, Tara Korff, Kimberly Korff and great-grandchildren - Mila, Aiden and Brandon Nakagawa, Ethan and Zachary Nastro, and Kade Korff.
