JOHN MICHAEL BRINCK
JOHN MICHAEL BRINCKJune 8, 1937 - September 26, 2018 John died Wednesday September 26th in Palm Desert, California after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimers. He was 81 years old. He is survived by his devoted wife Dicey of 54 years, his 3 children, Mollie Sterr, Michael Brinck and Alexis Stice and 8 loving grandchildren. He was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and a member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity. He moved to Honolulu with his young family in 1969 to join Milici/Valenti Advertising agency. He became a Partner of Fawcett McDermott Cavanagh Brinck Inc. in 1976. He attended Harvard Business School, taught marketing at the University of Hawaii School of Business and was the founder and past president of the American Marketing Assoc. of Honolulu and a past president of Sales and Marketing Executives of Honolulu. He was a long time member of The Society of California Pioneers. He served on the Military Advisory Board and was an active member of the Foster Botanical Gardens. He retired to Southern California in 2005 to be closer to his Mainland family. He will be dearly missed by all with his contagious laugh and his ability to have a great time partying with the young and old. His passions were his garden, giving out advice and being with his family. Private burial rites will be at the Brinck family plot in the Winters Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the donations be made in John's name to the Alzheimer's Association and the Honolulu Foster Botanical Gardens.
