74Gilbert Franklin "Gil" Cardenas, 55, of Kailua-Kona, an American Machinery master heavy equipment mechanic and fisherman, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Alamosa, Colo. He is survived by companion Natasha Katouzian, son Jeremy Fowler, daughters Amy Hansen and Amber Pherigo, hanai daughters Maryan Zarbafi and Marjon White, mother Theresa Chavez, brother Albert, sisters Elaine Rodriguez and Christine Solano, seven grandchildren and two hanai grandchildren. Services held.
