79Benjamin Napolis Samonte Sr., 87, of Kahului, a retired Okumura Bus Service driver, died in Hale Makua Kahului. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by wife Robin; sons Benjamin Jr., Lael and Chris; daughters Paulette Garalde, Steph- anie Samonte-Dittlinger and Gretchen Samonte; sisters Elizabeth Monios and Lapaz and Doris Samonte; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services: 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Nakamura Mortuary. Call after 11:30 a.m. Burial: 2 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park.
