GIVEN K.P. 84, passed away on June 8, 2010 with his family by his side. As a young man, Given excelled in many sports, basketball, baseball, track, and swimming. He attended St. Louis School on scholarships. For 30 years he worked at Navy Public Works Center in communications. He was also a Grand Pacific Life Insurance agent for 20 years. Given coached many basketball teams including St. Louis JV, Chaminade, and the Jolly Roger Pirates. Given was married to Juliette Kinau Chun. He is survived by his wife Juliette; son, Given Jr. (Joanna) of Honolulu, HI; daughters, Gaylene Goo of Torrance, CA and Valerie-Hannah Kenney (Larry) of Billings, MT; a granddaughter, Candace Pang (Bradley), and great-grandchildren, Allyson and Kaison Pang. Services will be held on Saturday, June 26 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation starts at 1:00 p.m. and services will start at 2:00 p.m. Please no flowers or monetary gifts. |
