78Sylvia Sumie Tanaka, 75, of Mililani, a retired August Ahrens Elementary School teacher, died in Mililani. She was born in Paia, Maui. She is survived by husband Walter K.; son Cary; daughter Jody Kennessey; brothers Masao, Nobuo and Yoshito Fukuda; sister Florence Yonemori; five grandchildren. Services: 6:30 p.m. Friday at Mililani Mortuary- Waipio, mauka chapel. Call after 5:30 p.m. Casual attire.
