William Bestamente, also known as "Alani" and "Busta," 78, of Captain Cook, Hawaii, a cook and journeyman painter for Holmes and Narver in Kwajalein, died in Kohala Hospital. He also was a Waikoloa Village Market kitchen helper and Marine Corps veteran. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by sons WIlliam Aniban and Jason Bestamente; daughters Marylynn Hook, Barbara Sonoria and Susan Sadumiano; stepdaughter Redlyn Momataro; brother Victor; sisters Celine Sonoria and Sarah Aniban; and 21 grandchildren. Inurnment: 9:30 a.m. Friday at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery, Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Loose flowers welcome.
