75Joseph Alexander "Uncle Joe" Soares, 89, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a National Weather Service employee and retired Federal Aviation Administration chief of flight services, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Kalaheo. He is survived by wife Nancy; sons Clifford, Calvin, Clement and Jared; daughter Carmel; brother Manuel; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo. Call after 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Casual attire.
