72Charles William Vause, 82, of Honolulu, a retired Honolulu Fire Department captain and Army veteran, died in Hospice Hawaii Palolo Home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Barbara, sons Charles Jr. and Scot, sister Eunice Tavares, two grandchildren and two great-grand- children. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Diamond Head Mortuary. Services: 10:15 a.m. Inurnment: 1 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual attire.
