Dionicio "Don" Sarme Sr., also known as "Brother Don the Fisherman," 80, of Waimea, Hawaii, a commercial fisherman, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel security guard, Hale Kea cook and Army veteran who served in Korean War, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Papaikou, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Martha; sons Mark L., Chech Jr. and Russell; hanai son Anthony Alego; hanai daughter Wanda Milar; stepdaughter Luana Keanaaina and Livia Graef; brothers Joseph "Sep" and Manuel "Manning"; sisters Jovita Cox, Mary Kagawa and Sue Aranado; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
