83Masakatsu Ohira, also known as "Masa," "Charles" and "Max," 89, of Waipahu, a Singer Sewing Co. retiree, died in Aiea. He also was an Army veteran and member of the 1399th Engineering Co. and "Go For Broke." He was born in Makaweli, Kauai. He is survived by sons Dennis, Donald and Brian; brother Roy; sister Esther Fukumoto; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Monday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 6:30 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers.
