Archer Akau Sr., 52, of Kamuela, Hawaii, died in Durand, Ill. He was born in Honokaa Hospital. He is survived by sons Archer Akau Jr. and Kevin Berg; daughters Loralee Akau-Thompson, Lois Akau-Passafiume, Amanda Akau-Hooper, Abigail Balancio, Lawrenelle Jaentsch, Sharronne Kapanui and Shaughnasey Balancio; brothers Arthur Sr., Arnold Sr. and Arden; sister Theodora Gasper; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Imiola Congregational Church in Kamuela. Services: 11 a.m. Flowers welcome.
