BAMFORD, DENNIS F., 63, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010. He was loved by his wife Janet J., who were married on 8/1/81 in Depew, NY; and his parents-in-law, Rita C. and William J. Jarmuz (deceased). He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Porter (Bridgeport CT), and his brother, Alan (Pawtucket, RI).
A Memorial Mass will be held on Sat. 8/14/2010 at St. Jude RC Church, 92-445 Makakilo Dr, Makakilo, HI. Visitation is from 9:45-10:45 am; Eulogies welcome until 10:55 am; Mass begins at 11:00 am.
In addition, on Tuesday, 8/17/10, full military honors for Dennis will be presented at Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific at 2:00 pm. All friends and Old Soldiers are welcome to attend.
Dennis was born on 8/10/46 in Providence, RI, and spent his youth in Warwick, RI. He was drafted in 1967, on his 21st birthday, and retired from the Army on 9/1/1992. He spent two years in combat during the Vietnam War. His numerous medals and citations include a Bronze Star, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross, and an Army Presidential Unit Citation.
He passed away exactly one month before his 64th birthday.
