John Henry Christian Pace Jr., 92, of Keauhou, Hawaii, founder of Cardinal Investment Co., Allied Timber Co. and Nelio Chemical Co., died at home. He also founded and worked in businesses involving banking, cattle ranching, chemicals, mining, real estate and timber. He was born in Pensacola, Fla. He is survived by wife Gussie Beall; sons John H. III, Christian B., William H. and Thomas W.; daughters Augusta Leech, Susan Pace, Martha Anne Fortunato and Elizabeth Sorenson; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. No services. No flowers. Donations suggested to Hokupa'a School, P.O. Box 2240, Kealakekua, HI 96750.
