DEXTER WAINLEY LUM Born in Honolulu, August 1, 1942, to Richard and Eleanor Lum. Passed in a tragic accident on August 5, 2010 in Manoa. Dexter graduated from Roosevelt High School, serving as senior class president; he was currently helping to plan his 50th high school reunion. While a student at UH Manoa in 1960, he joined Peng Hui Fraternity. He earned a degree in Economics from UH Manoa in 1965. Served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years as a Communications-Electronics officer (which took him to Mississippi, Arizona, and Italy), retiring as a Captain in 1973. After leaving the Air Force, he became a real estate appraiser/broker up until the time of his death; he also was a part-time teacher at Farrington High School from 1996-2008. Dexter became a Mason with the Waikiki Lodge in 1973, serving as Master in 1986. He was a member of the Lodge Le Progres De L'Oceanie and received the Hiram Award in 2007.
