Charles Shoichi Matsuda, 81, of Honolulu, a retired Army master sergeant, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Grace H., son Steven H., daughter Amy A. Barilo, sisters Ellen T. Fujioka and Lillian N. Matsuda, and a grandchild. Visitation: 5 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Private committal services at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual attire. No flowers.
