Joseph "Joe" Liwai III, 51, of Waipahu, a retired Army sergeant first class, died in Waipahu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Joelin D., Jacob M. and Joshua K.; daughter Kayla L.; stepson Mack-Neil Ramos; mother Dolores M.; former wife Jenny Ramos-Liwai; brothers Randy and Dwayne; and sisters Melissa Liwai-Halas and Lori Kong. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Friday at Mililani Downtown Mortuary. Services: 7 p.m. Flowers welcome.
