Puniani Maumalanga
Oct. 3, 2010 Puniani Maumalanga, 75, of Honolulu, a chef at the former Top of the Ilikai and a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints patriarch, died. He was born in Tatakamotonga, Tonga. He is survived by wife Anaise; sons Aaron and Masiano Williams, Netane Maumalanga, Malakai Toafa and Kaluseti and Aisea Loumoli; daughters Wilhelmina Tupou, Lois Tiedemann, Evalina Pani, Neli Lomu, Launga Vaka'uta, Nola Kava, Kafo'atu Toafa and Fokikovi Brown; brothers Sione and Manatu; sister Hine Tuifua; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services: 6:30 p.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kahala. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at the church. Services: 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Casual attire.
