JUNE BERNADES
June Bernades of Santa Clarita, beloved wife, loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and dear friend of many went home to be with Christ on: Wednesday, October 6, 2010, after a long battle with cancer for almost two years. She was 67 years old.
June was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 8, 1943. She graduated from McKinley High School in Hawaii class of 1961. She moved to California 40 years ago. June loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, sewing, and helping people in any way she could. June worked as an Office Manager at Private Mini Storage in Canyon Country for 22 years, where she made many special friends.
June is survived by her husband of almost 50 years Roy Bernades; her three sons Roy Bernades, Vince and wife Susie Bernades; John and wife Lazan Kalani; her only daughter Donna and husband Francisco Avila; her sisters Theresa Cariaso and Anita Mia; her seven grandchildren Charlene Bernades, Brandon Avila, Andrew Avila, Daniel Avila, Leilani Avila, Brennan Bernades, and Sean Luna. June will be missed, but remembered forever!
A celebration of her life (Memorial Service) will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Del Prado Homeowner's Association Club House, 24360 La Glorita Circle in Newhall, CA 91321.
