Francisco Akhay Sr., 77, of Pahala, Hawaii, a retired civil service security police and truck driver at Barbers Point Naval Air Station and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, a sensei instructor and owner of Shiki Shin Funi Karate School in Waipahu, and an Army veteran who served in the 2nd Infantry Division in the Korean War, died in Pahala. He was born in Ewa. He is survived by wife Diane; sons Francisco Jr., Wayne and Glenn; daughters Doreen Ballo and Crystal Masulit; stepson Jarvis Canoy; hanai son Randy Yoro; hanai daughter Lala Yoro; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 6:30 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
