James John Joseph Kaufmann
JAMES JOHN "J.J." KAUFMANN aka JIM
Was born in Chicago, IL in 1938. Jim was retired from Civil Service at Hickam. He was a political activist and was a volunteer with the Waikiki Health Center. Upon on his death on July 2, 2009 his body was donated to the University of Hawaii.
He is survived by his brother Jared Kaufmann, sisters Jane and Janet. He was pre-deceased by his sister Judy Birt. He is the son of Jack and Clara Kaufmann (both deceased) of Honolulu.
A memorial service will be held for him on october 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Kalanianaole Hwy. After the serice there will be a private scattering of Jim's ashes by members of his family outside of the Federal building, his favorite place to protest.
