Maria Louisa Slade, 66, of Kailua-Kona, a housekeeping supervisor at the former Keauhou Beach Hotel, died at home. She was born in Apia, Samoa. She is survived by husband Harry; sons Edmond, Ivanhoe and James; hanai son Jeff Warrenburg; daughters Rosie Moore, Jedda Welzbacker and Naui Slade; brothers Joseph, James, Paul and Elvis Hoeflich; sisters Dolly Hughes, Ella McKenzie and Hen Hoeflich; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kailua-Kona. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
