Manuela Velasco "Mining" Garidan, 73, of Honolulu, a retired Breakers Hotel maid, died at home. She was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She is survived by son John; daughters Janet Prieto, Jenny Fong and Josephine Garidan; brothers Francisco and Marcelino Velasco; sister Nenita Agbayani; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
