73Bruce Kawehiwehi "The Coconut Man" Hoopii, 62, of Anahola, Kauai, a self-employed coconut tree trimmer and coconut leaf weaver, died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by wife Evangeline "Aunty Angie"; sons Samuel Lanning and Kawehi Hoopii; daughters Leinoa Holden, Lohelani Nabeshima and Liana Hoopii; hanai daughters Tina Silva, Pristine De Jesus and Francia Demitrial; brothers William McCullen and Robert Hoopii; sisters Dolores Johnson, Nora Contrades and Ophelia Kanoa; six grandchildren; and three hanai grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Sunday at Kapaa Seventh-day Adventist Church. Services: 4 p.m. Reception to follow. Casual attire.
