Howard William Phillips, 93, of Hono-lulu, a retired Hawaiian Airlines captain and a Navy veteran, died at home. He was born in Montgomery, Mass. He is survived by wife Dorothy Ann; sons Roy Edward and Paul Bernard; daughters Sharon Kay Marich, Cynthia Ann Seminara, Sandra Dee Willand and Doris Leilani Zirbes; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 9:30 a.m. Private scattering of ashes. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Smile Train.
