Robelyn started her career at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children as a candy striper while in high school and after receiving her R.N. degree at the University of Hawaii she continued at Kapiolani, the place of her birth, as a charge nurse on the OB-Gyn floor, caring for others with her compassionate and loving heart. In 2007 Robelyn was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Robelyn was a member of New Hope Leeward and being a devoted Christian, she lived as she believed. Throughout the many hospitalizations, treatments and ups and downs of this disease she remained rooted in her faith, always praising God for the daily blessings and the grace that He provided. Even though this past year was particularly challenging, Robelyn evangelized every chance that she had and was the pillar of strength for those around her. She was certainly embraced in heaven with Jesus telling her "Well done, good and faithful servant, welcome home". Services are December 11, 2010 at Kalihi Union Church.
