73Madeline Freitas Barretto Nelson, 82, of Lihue, a Hawaiian Canneries employee, died in Straub Clinic & Hospital. She was born in Kealia, Kauai. She is survived by husband Gary; daughter Brigid Cermak; brothers John, Tony and Robert Barretto; sisters Lucy Freitas and Alice Fontinella; and a grandchild. Celebration of life: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Lihue. Casual or aloha attire. Flowers and donations optional.
