Mauro Asuncion Martin, 87, of Keauhou Mauka, Hawaii, a maintenance worker with the Royal Seacliff Hotel, a coffee farmer for Victor Haanio Farms and a member of the Philippine army during the Vietnam War, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by wife Carmen; sons Liwanag, Liberato, Joseph, Jesus, Ferdinand and Rodrigo; daughters Luvimin Jalandoni and Zenaida Regis; 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kailua-Kona. Services: 10 a.m. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
