Paul Howard "Pops" Moniz Sr., 64, of Ewa Beach, a MIRA Construction trucking supervisor, died in Pali Momi Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Judith; sons Paul Jr., James and Darren Moniz, Roger and Eric Boyd Sr., and Michael Gangloff; daughter Pam; brother James; sister Rose "Chubby" Hose; and 27 grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea chapel. Services: 6:30 p.m. Scattering of ashes: noon Jan. 9 at mile 4 1/2 in Hilo. Aloha attire.
