71Peggy Chizuko Kawabata of Honolulu, a retired state Department of Education secretary, died. She was born in Wailuku. She is survived by husband Leith M., son Eric Ito, daughters Lisa Kodama and Jodi Kawabata, and three grandchildren. Private services.
