Age 81, of Waimanalo died on December 25, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Kanuha was born on October 12, 1929 in Pu'unene, Maui, Hawai'i. She retired from the State of Hawai'i, Department of Transportation; Airport Division Custodial Department.
She is survived by her children, Clare K. (Dennis) DeLeon Sr., Catherine K. (Rudy) King Sr., Frances (Harvey) Torres, Hilary K. (Lani) Kanuha Sr., Robert M. (Dynette) Kanuha Jr., Roland K. (Liana) Kanuha, Makalapua Deanie Kanuha (Kamaka), Jerida Villaruel and Jeffrey Hewett; brother, Earl (Honeyboy) Nakoa; 38 grand-children, 71 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Hanai daughter: Keala Moreno and caregiver, Jody Barques.
Visitation will begin at 9am, Friday Jan. 14 at St. George Church in Waimanalo; Mass at 1:15pm, and her final resting place to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park at 3:00pm.
