Doris Peke Kanuha, 81, of Waimanalo, a retired custodian for the state Department of Transportation Airports Division, died at home. She was born in Puunene, Maui. She is survived by sons Hilary K. Sr., Robert M. Jr. and Roland P. Kanuha, and Jeffrey Hewitt; daughters Clare K. Deleon, Catherine K. King, Frances K. Torres, D. Makalapua Kanuha and Jerida Villaruel; hanai daughter Keala Moreno; brother Earl "Honey Boy" Nakoa; caregiver Jody Barques; 38 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at St. George Parish, Waimanalo. Mass: 1:15 p.m. Burial: 3 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
