KEVIN P. NUTT
Age 41, of Honolulu, HI, passed away on January 6, 2011. He was a 1987 graduate of Kaiser High School and a 1991 graduate of Culinary Institute of America in New York. Kevin enjoyed an illustrious career as a chef and culinary professional, working in establishments across the nation, including New York and Las Vegas, before returning to his home on the islands. He was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend whose passion for good food and good company defines his personal legacy.
Kevin was diagnosed with cancer in 2007 on his 38th birthday. He fought his battle bravely, with courage, hope and perseverance. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Leilani; 2 sons Jayson & Ryan; father, Gerald; mother, Valerie Maher; brother, Garrett; sister, Kami and nieces, Caylin & Kaya.
Services & burial will be held on January 17, 2011 at Valley of the Temples. Visitation 9:30 AM, Mass 12:00 PM & Burial 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the "Friends of Kevin Nutt" Fund at any Bank of Hawaii or the St. Francis Hospice at Nuuanu in Kevin Nutt's name.
