Ethel Toyoko Yakabe Kurihara, 86, of Aiea died in Aiea. She was born in Puunene, Maui. She is survived by sons Paul and Gary; daughters Denise Mitchell, Colleen Ohira, Sandra Kurihara-Van Ornum and Charlene "Dawn" Akana; brothers Robert, Harry and Charles Yakabe; sisters Lillian Yakabe-Yoshimoto, Katherine "Kit" Yakabe-Gima and Annette Yakabe-Yamada; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 99-641 Pohue St., Aiea. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Aloha attire.
