Samuel Yoshio Hamada, 79, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired self-employed carpenter and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Wailua, Kauai. He is survived by wife Yaeko; son Samuel K.; daughter Nancy C.; brothers Wallace, Albert and Henry; sisters Ruth Kihara and Nellie Nishihira; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
