Carl John Souza, 71, of Oceanside, Calif., a church pastor, Oceanside Police Department chaplain and former Hawaiian Electric Co. industrial hygienist, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Brenda; sons Hinai, Rick, Doug and Randy; daughters Kaulalani and Mahikulani; mother Clothilde; sisters Gwen and Valerie; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
