ROBERT "BOB" WAH KEE LUKE
Age 91, of Honolulu, entered into eternal life on January 10, 2011. Robert was born in Honolulu, son of Kin & Kam Kun Luke. He retired from the City & County of Honolulu as a building inspector. Preceded in death by wife Nancy G. Teixeira Luke. Survived by son, Michael (Sharon); daughters, Gloria Oshiro, Roberta Chong Kee (Kevin), Paula Ho'opai (Henry) and Christine Go (Dereck); 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Aila and Ethel May, both of California, Margaret Chun, and sister-in-law Winifred Luke, both of Honolulu.
Robert, a long time member of Star of the Sea Church, built many things for the church and school. During his retirement, he volun-teered many hours helping seniors with tax returns. He was an avid runner and walker at Kapiolani Park and believed in exercise.
Visitation will be from 10:15 a.m., services starting at 11:15 a.m., Friday, January 21 at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Aloha attire. Memorial donations can be made to: Queen's Medical Center, Geriatric Department, "In Memory of Robert W.K. Luke".
