George Masaichi Ota, 87, of Pahala, Hawaii, a retired field supervisor with the former Kau Sugar Co. and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honomu, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Sadame; son Craig; daughter Vivian Flores; and brothers Albert, Herbert and Gary; and four grandchildren. Private services.
