Betty A. Hays, 83, of Kailua, a homemaker and Navy Exchange, Hughes Drug Store in Kailua and United Cerebral Palsy Association employee, died in Castle Medical Center. She was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She is survived by husband William "Tex"; son Rick; daughters Juliana Hays, Terry Barbieto and Krista Pittler; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private scattering of ashes to be held at a later date.
