Gary James Mara, 51, of Waianae died in Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by companion Candise Chong; son Kyle Chong; daughters Jamie Berasis, Desiray and Garrilynn Mara, and Shellsea Chong; brothers William Jr., Michael Sr., Bruce, Kevin and Dean; sisters Allison Villanueva and Lorrie Mara; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Oahu Cemetery Chapel. Services: 5 p.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire. No flowers.
