EDITH SHIGE TANAKA
Age 104, of Honolulu, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011. Born in Pearl City, Oahu. She worked for many years as a dressmaker and a bookkeeper/ accountant for her husband's general contracting business. She was a pioneer member of Sekai Kyusei Kyo, now known as Toho no Hikari, Hawaii. She was a head instructor of Kado Sangetsu Ryu, flower arrangement program.
She is survived by her daughter, Leilani Tsukazaki; daughter in law, Betty Tanaka; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James Ichiji, son James Shoji and daughter Faith Harada.
A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 5:00 p.m., at Toho no Hikari, Hawaii, located at 3510 Nuuanu Pali Drive. Visitation begins at 4:00 p.m. Casual attire.
