George Yau Hook Young, 87, of Kaneohe, a retired Honolulu police officer and an Army veteran, died on Maui. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Walter Rego; daughters Lani Burnett, Georgie Asinsin, Primrose Sam Fong and Pamela Young; brother Charles Burrows; sisters Pearl Robello, Kaipo Cunha and Hinano Campton; 18 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
