Alan T. Kawahara, 53, of Pearl City, a retired Honolulu Fire Department captain and Costco Waipio employee, died in Aiea. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Joelle, sons Casey K. and Layne K., daughter Kiana A., mother Peggy and brothers Bert, Dennis, Brian and Francis. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to American Cancer Society.
