Taira Funayama, 89, of Aiea, a retired Charles Pankow Builders Ltd. mason, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Ewa. He is survived by wife Alyce E., sons Hiroshi and Masahiro, daughters Sharon K. and Karen S., brothers Shiro and Hachiro, sisters Betty M. Nakata and Yoshiko Matsukado, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Private services.
